Business Internet & Enterprise Connectivity in Kuwait
When your global connectivity provider says they cover the Middle East, check the footnotes. Kuwait is often the gap — listed on the map, impossible to get a firm quote for when you actually need one. A FALCON cable was cut between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in late 2024. A new 720Tbps cable is being landed. And Zajil Telecom — one of the key enterprise carriers here — is part of the Kalaam Group we work with directly.

The local context
Most international providers don't have direct carrier relationships in Kuwait — they rely on aggregators who may or may not have local agreements. The market is less developed for enterprise services than UAE or Saudi, which is partly why so many international providers either skip it or can't firm up pricing. Kalaam's KNOT terrestrial cable system originates in Kuwait — giving CN a direct entry point most competitors don't have.
How we deliver in Kuwait
Zajil Telecom being part of the Kalaam Group means our Kalaam relationship extends into Kuwait directly. The KNOT network that originates here, combined with Kalaam EIG co-ownership, gives us a Northern Europe routing path that most providers quoting Kuwait connectivity simply cannot offer.
For buyers who have struggled to get firm Kuwait quotes from larger providers: Kuwait is a market where aggregators get stuck. We do not rely on aggregators. Delivery: 8-12 weeks. Kuwait City concentration means last-mile is more predictable than geographically sprawling markets like Saudi Arabia.
Carriers, infrastructure and routing
Kuwait enterprise internet runs through four carriers: Zain Kuwait, STC Kuwait (formerly Viva), Ooredoo Kuwait, and Zajil Telecom. Notably, Zajil Telecom is a subsidiary of Kalaam Telecom Group — so CN already has a direct relationship into the Kuwait market through the Kalaam family.
Kuwait is currently connected internationally via five cables, expanding to eight by 2027: FOG (Fiber Optic Gulf, 1,300km, connecting Kuwait-Bahrain-Qatar-UAE, operational since 1998), FALCON (a disruption between Kuwait and Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia in late 2024 highlighted the importance of diversity here), GBI, 2Africa, and Khaleej North (an 800km cable owned by Beyon connecting Bahrain-Saudi Arabia-Kuwait-Iraq). In March 2025, Ooredoo Kuwait signed an agreement with CITRA to land the FIG (Fibre in Gulf) cable — 720Tbps, 24 fibre pairs, due Q4 2027.
Microsoft announced an Azure AI Region in Kuwait in March 2025 — a strategic partnership with the Government of Kuwait targeting Vision 2035 digital transformation. Data centre operators include Zajil Telecom (primary and secondary DCs), Zain Kuwait (colocation DC), and STC Kuwait.

Most international providers rely on aggregators without direct local carrier agreements. We have direct Kalaam access — an immediate entry point most competitors lack.
Which carriers serve enterprise clients in Kuwait?
Zain Kuwait, STC Kuwait (formerly Viva), Ooredoo Kuwait. Zain Group is HQ'd in Kuwait City. Kalaam's KNOT originates here for international routing.
How long does a circuit take?
8–12 weeks. Contact us early if you have a deadline.
Does the KNOT give you an advantage?
